We work with a range of housing developers, builders and private home owners. We specialise in providing a cost-effective service with over 15 years of heating and plumbing experience throughout the team. We like to look at each project individually and prefer to work with the client and their architect/builder from the beginning to advise on what the best cost effective and simple solution is with that aspect of the build.

Integrated Energy Contractors LLP are fully accredited through the *MCS “Micro Generation Certification Scheme” so an air source heat pump installed into a self-build or existing property replacing a fossil fuel heating system would be eligible for the BUS “Boiler Upgrade Scheme” discount of £7,500 towards the full installation and are will be VAT Exempt *Subject to a full survey being carried out by IEC

What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) supports the decarbonisation of heat in buildings. It provides upfront capital grants to support the installation of heat pumps and biomass boilers in homes and non-domestic buildings in England and Wales.

Acting on behalf of property owners, installers can apply for:

£7,500 off the cost and installation of an air source heat pump
£7,500 off the cost and installation of a ground source heat pump, including water source heat pumps
£5,000 off the cost and installation of a biomass boiler

Ventilation Systems

As homes become increasingly airtight through efficiency measures such as insulation, draught-proofing and double-glazed windows, a lack of ventilation means that activities such as cooking, washing and even breathing builds up moisture in the home. Trapped, this moisture collects on cold surfaces such as windows and outside walls and causes condensation, damp and mould growth, all of which leads to poor indoor air quality.

MVHR systems constantly ventilate a property, meaning that everyday moisture has no time to settle on surfaces as it is extracted to the outside, eliminating the risk of structural and cosmetic damage caused by condensation and mould. They are also extremely efficient, being able to recover up to 91% of heat lost through extraction and transferring it to incoming air.
